I think the clear day in Estes Park while it was overcast in the "valley" all day yesterday worked in our favor.

We saw an ovenbird and a female Chestnut-sided Warbler in the marshy area of the Matthews-Reeser Sanctuary this morning.
The ovenbird actually sang briefly at times.

I think there are at least eight elk calves in the sanctuary so one must bird with care.
