As of 5:00 p.m. when I left, the western gull was on the swim beach at Chatfield, mixed in with the geese and few remaining sunbathers. From sometime before 3:00 until just before 4:00, it had been on the Plum Creek delta, then swam out about 50 feet before flying to the north and then west. I re-found it at the swim beach, after first looking for it at the marina and fishing pier. A nice bird to see on my way home after being out of town for the last month.
