After spending the night at Blackhawk, Jeanne and I got up early and headed for
Georgetown. We got there about 7:45am and started riding up and down Rose
street between 7th and 11th. At about 8:00am we pulled off onto 8th Street and
parked by a red house with a full feeder.

A few minutes later, the owner of the house came out on her way to exercise
class and told us she had seen the sparrow yesterday at her feeders. She is
thrilled that so many birders (all polite folks, of course) were coming to see
"my bird". We first heard a song neither of us recognized at about 8:45, but we
did not see it until almost 9:30am, when it arrived at her feeder that was
already busy with house finches, pine siskins, and house sparrows.

We also had a chance to get breakfast at the Euro Cafe, and we enjoyed that
very much.

Good birding, all.
