Hello all,
Michael Kiessig, Rob Raker, and I saw a singing male Hooded Warbler in the lower part of Long Canyon on Flagstaff Mountain, Boulder Co. today. The bird was along the Ranger Trail a few hundred feet north of the junction of the Ranger Trail and the Long Canyon Trail. Park at the Realization Point parking area on the Flagstaff Mountain Road, and go south (downhill) into the canyon until the trail becomes level. The bird was in an area of mixed conifers and deciduous trees, and seemed to stay mostly in the low birches and other deciduous shrubs, but did perch in a dead cottonwood for a while as it sang. Rob Raker obtained photographs. Bob Andrews Englewood, CO -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
