cobirders, JB Hayes and I observed the Cassin's Sparrow at Chatfield this afternoon. I heard a couple of Grasshopper Sparrows, as well. The Cassin's was more or less on a line with the South Pay Station when looking WSW from the road that Glenn referenced. It skylarked repeadedly singing its mournful song, landing alternatingly on mullein stalks and low green shrubs. A great find for Chatfield. Thanks Joey and Glenn. Bob Brown Highlands Ranch
