I heard a strange song this morning in the open space behind our new
residence on Green Mountain. Then a small bird chased a Yellow Warbler
(itself a first time yard bird) into the tree in our back yard and posed in
plain sight singing the same repertoire. It was a female type (most likely a
first year male but no hint of black) American Redstart!

Please do not try to chase it as it is gone now. If it shows up again I will
post with directions so you can give it a try.

Bob Shade, Lakewood.
