Last evening while checking on some bats I heard some vocalizations that
came from a young Western Screech Owl and it's siblings. The others flew
off in the dark but this young fledgling remained in the tree. The photos I
took using my spotlight last night didn't come out so I refound the little
owl this morning. I got both still pics and some video which I have
uploaded to my BirdsAndNature <http://BirdsAndNature.blogspot.com>blog
(still have some more video to upload). While looking for the rest of the
fledglings a female Yellow Warbler became quite aggressive (for this
species) calling repeatedly, flying about agitated, and seeming to try to
draw me away from a nest or fledglings (neither of which did I see). The
male came in to assist in the effort for time and I got nice pics of both.

Please note I do not divulge owl nesting or fledgling roost locations. Due
to all the playing of recordings to coax birds to divulge their locations, I
will only state that this owl is in the Canon City area.
