The phoebes nestlings were still across the Arkansas River from the Canon
City Riverwalk (Sell's Lake vault toilet area) and the apparent Eastern
Phoebe was bringing food to the nest repeatedly when I was there yesterday
(I don't always see the apparent male Black Phoebe though when I do he is
working hard to bring food to the growing nestlings). The Red Vireo was
singing when I got out of my car in the Sell's Lake parking area but I did
not hear this bird for a few days.

The Black-throated Sparrows continue to sing though infrequently now on the
Chandler Rd just south of Canon City. I will have some video clips uploaded
to my blog later.

If you tried to view the Ravens Harassing Bobcat Part I video clip without
success this morning I have corrected the problem and it is viewable
at my BirdsAndNature
<http://BirdsAndNature.blogspot.com>blog.

I saw the young fledgling Western Screech Owl last evening (couldn't find in
the morning) and after dark heard additional calls so used my spotlight
which illuminated the parent feeding this fledgling.

I heard one Dickcissel in the hay fields where I found it last week. Please
note that the farmers who own these hay fields do not want their location
publicized. Among several concerns is the fact that 2 birders walked
several hundred feet into their field on a private 2 track a few years
ago--these birders told me they just didn't see why this was a problem as it
was just a dirt road, clearly ignoring the right of the property owner to
restrict access to their private lands.
