I would add that several years ago I observed one, then afterwards the other, member of a pair of Black Phoebes lie flat on the ground with wings stretched out as they engaged in sunbathing. In all the hundreds of hours I have spent watching Black Phoebes both before and after I observed this, this is the only time I have seen Black Phoebes sunbath though I have seen other species do so.
