Hi all, Not unexpected nor out of season, but still totally thrilling for this transplanted Easterner, was the sudden appearance of an immaculate adult male Calliope Hummingbird just a few moments ago at our feeder in NW Colorado Springs, El Paso county.
I've been waiting for this day. The only bad news: Liz hasn't got to see him yet and is attributing his departure to my bellowing exclamation upon seeing him. For my sake, please send positive thoughts for the little guy to come back.
