Having just returned from the UK it is great to be back in Colorado as we move towards fall. One of the birds I love seeing (and even more hearing) in my neighborhood in the Clark's Nutcracker. Not sure why but I tend to see/hear them this time of year, and today 5 were hanging around. Not bad for "down here" at 8K feet.
Also a male Western Tanager was here today, along with a decent large collection left-over hummers (Broad-tailed and Calliope, but no Rufous, they've gone.) The Evening Grosbeak (with young) are wonderful right now, and not forgetting the scads of American Robins which are happily gobbling up the berries. Nice birds all, and quite different from the ones here when I left. regards Adam -- Find your nature: http://wildobs.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
