Bent/Kiowa Counties
--The sub-ad dark morph REDDISH EGRET first reported by Duane Nelson
on August 2 was relocated by Duane Nelson on August 20 at the north
tip of Tern Island in Adobe Creek Reservoir.

Boulder County:
--1 Green Heron was reported by Floyd at Walden Ponds on August 19.

Custer County:
--2 Northern Waterthrush were reported by Percival and the Arkansas
Valley Audubon below the dam at DeWeese Reservoir on August 20.

El Paso County:
--A Green Heron was reported by Ceci Lee at Rice Pond in Fountain
Creek RP on August 13.  On August 15, Ceci Lee reported that the adult
Green Heron was accompanied by 2 fledgings at Fountain Creek RP.
--A PRAIRIE WARBLER was banded by Elwonger at Clear Springs Ranch on August 20.

Fremont County:
--A LEAST BITTERN was reported by Rich Miller on August 3 & 4 at the
cattail marsh at Holcim Wetlands.  Miller also reported a Black Phoebe
on August 4.  On August 21, Bill Maynard reported 2 LEAST BITTERNS at
Holcim, a male and female.  Maynard also reported 2 Black Phoebes and
1 Green Heron.  On August 22, Percival reported LEAST BITTERN and 2
Green Herons at Holcim Wetlands.

Huerfano County:
--2 Green Herons were reported by Nelder at Lathrop SP on August 7.
On August 14, Nelder reported one Green Heron at Lathrop SP.
--A Blue-winged Warbler and Tennessee Warbler were reported by Nelder
on Valley Road on August 14.

Jefferson County:
--An American Three-toed Woodpecker was reported by Keithler on the
Upper Maxwell Falls Trail south of Evergreen on August 16.

Larimer County:
--An ad NEOTROPIC CORMORANT was reported by Floyd at Timnath Reservoir
on August 14.  It was on the NE arm with access from Majestic View
Drive.
--A possible ARCTIC TERN was reported by Wild at Timnath Reservoir on
August 21 and again on August 22.

Moffat County:
--8 Purple Martins were reported by Luke at Freeman Reservoir on
August 13.  On August 17 Luke reported 14 Purple Martins at Freeman
Reservoir.

Weld County:
--A family of Cassin's Kingbirds was reported by Mlodinow at Norma's
Grove on August 20.  Norma's Grove is east of the intersection of CR
57 and CR 100.

The DFO field trip for Saturday, August 27 will be to Rigli Ranch led
by Joe Rigli (970-768-7121.  Meet the leader at the ranch by 0830.
>From Hudson, go east on CO 52 until it turns north.  Don't turn north,
but continue east on Morgan CR F to CR 14, then turn north for
approximately one mile to first house on left by boxcars.  Bring Lunch
and extra water.

The DFO field trip for Saturday, August 27 will be to Belmar Historic
Park led by Karleen Schofield (303-936-8661).  Meet the leader at 0900
at the park, 800 S. Wadsworth Blvd at W. Ohio Ave.  Turn west on Ohio
Ave, and go 2 blocks straight ahead into Irongate parking lot to the
lake.  Bring water and snacks.  This trip is fully accessible for those
using wheelchairs and walkers.

The DFO field trip for Sunday, August 28 will be to Prewitt and
Jackson led by Chris Owens and Jim Petri (303-772-6048).  Meet the
leaders at 0700 at Jim Hamm Park.  From I-25 take Exit 240.  To reach
the park, go west four miles on CO 119 to Boulder-Weld County Line
Road, then north two miles to Jim Hamm Park at 17th Ave.  Bring lunch,
water, appropriate clothing.  Will need State Parks pass and habitat
pass for Prewitt.  Call the leader if your are going.

The DFO field trip for Sunday, August 28 will be to Wheat Ridge Green
Belt led by Patti Echlemeyer (303-233-4047).  Meet the leader at 0800
at Prospect Park Lake south of West 44th Ave just east of Robb St.
for a leisurely, half-day trip on wheelchair accessible trails.  Bring
drinking water and snacks.
