Lisa and I have been out at Blanca wetlands a lot in the past 2 weeks. I think
the shorebirds may be peaking there. We have had Least, Spotted, Semi-palmated,
Bairds, Stilt, Solitary, and Western Sandpipers, Long-billed Curlews, a few
Snowy Plovers (most have left), Semi-palmated Plovers, Black tern and
Long-billed Dowitchers. Will be out there again Thursday to see if things are
different.

Other good places for Valley shorebirds are San Luis Lake (low water) and Smith
res SWA.
