Today's weather - cloudy, calm, and about 65 degrees - was perfect for
birds, and they were out and active all morning. We caught 72 new birds, a
number of them more than once. We also recaptured numerous birds from
recent days, including 3 of our semi-rares - the Tennessee Warbler from
yesterday and the Chestnut-sided and Blackpoll from Sunday. Today's
bird-of-the-day was an Olive-sided Flycatcher - seemed BIG after so many
Yellow and Wilson's Warblers! Here's the breakdown for the new birds:

Olive-sided Flycatcher 1

Cassin's Vireo 1

Warbling Vireo 1

Black-capped Chickadee 2

White-breasted Nuthatch 1

House Wren 1

Orange-crowned Warbler 2

Yellow Warbler 22

American Redstart 1

Wilson's Warbler 20

Chipping Sparrow 19

Song Sparrow 1

Closed tomorrow (Wednesday); then open daily through Monday, 9/12. Our
closed day next week will be Tuesday, 9/13.
