Another slow day - the scarcity of Wilson's continuing to influence the bottom line. Had our first Ruby-crowned Kinglet of the season. Also had our first House Sparrow (Juvenile, tail just starting to come in), the only HOSP I can remember catching at Barr that was NOT caught in a net at the Nature Center feeders.
Here's the breakdown of the 19 new birds (also had 11 recaps): Western Wood-pewee 1 House Wren 1 Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1 (FOS) Hermit Thrush 1 Common Yellowthroat 3 Wilson's Warbler 4 Chipping Sparrow 5 Brewer's Sparrow 1 Lincoln's Sparrow 1 House Sparrow 1 (FOS) Open 6 days a week, weather permitting, through mid-October.
