Kelly Shipe and I walked around Rock Canyon and Valco Ponds area in Pueblo
today.  There seemed to be birds that weren't around yesterday.

In Rock Canyon, we saw a female American Redstart, one Townsend's Warbler, two
Eastern Phoebes, and a calling Black-bellied Plover (which might have been
flying over, as we never saw it).   We also saw a Common Nighthawk, a Plumbeous
Vireo, Wood Ducks, and Blue Jays, which I didn't see yesterday, and there was
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher on the Valco Ponds side of the river, which I didn't see
yesterday either during the Pueblo County Fall Count.

In Pueblo West, we saw a Burrowing Owl in a prairie dog town along McCullough
Blvd (east of Nickols Road).  I haven't seen them much here recently, since the
building of so many houses on top of the prairie dog mounds in this area.

We saw a few lizards, tiger beetles, and other creatures, though no snakes at
all for some reason.  There have been a couple of Tarantula sightings around
Pueblo Reservoir recently, though so far I have seen one this fall.
