A flurry of activity early, then quiet as the heat set in. We did have
plenty of birds for our many Saturday visitors - Audubon's Beginning Birder
Class, RMBO Walk-a-Thon participants, and Ira and Tammy's Barr Lake Nature
Walk visitors. Good to see so many people out!

Here's the day's 30 new birds:

House Wren 2

Ruby-crowned Kinglet 2

Hermit Thrush 1

Orange-crowned Warbler 3

Common Yellowthroat 1

Chipping Sparrow 15

Clay-colored Sparrow 1

Lincoln's Sparrow 1

White-crowned Sparrow (Gambel's) 3

Oregon Junco 1

Saw Steve's post about the Blue Jays banded at Chico...they taunted us late
morning from the trees above the station, but never came down to the nets.
Maybe tomorrow..

Open 6 days per week, weather permitting, through Oct. 16. Next closed day
is Friday, Oct. 7.
