The wind was a problem today - we only opened the outer, most sheltered
nets, and then only until about 10 a.m., when the wind really started
gusting. Nevertheless, had some fun birds, including our likely
only-of-season White-throated Sparrow, a Cassin's Vireo and a Flicker
Integrade (orange-red shaft, red malar and most other criteria leaning
toward red-shafted, but he had a strong red nuchal patch and crown mixed
gray and brown) to share with Norm Lewis' group from the Museum of Nature &
Science.

Here's the breakdown for the day:

Flicker Integrade 1

Cassin's Vireo 1

Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1

Yellow-rumped Warbler (Audubon's) 1

Chipping Sparrow 7

White-throated Sparrow 1 (FOS)

White-crowned Sparrow (Gambel's) 1

American Goldfinch 1

Closed tomorrow (Fri, 10/7). Hope to be open this weekend..weather
permitting!! Then, open daily next week except closed Wed, 10/12.
