Arapahoe County:
--A RED-THROATED LOON and 3 Surf Scoters were reported by Walbek at
Cherry Creek SP on October 17.  The loon was by the Lake Loop and the
scoters were in the middle of the lake.

Baca County:
--A VARIED THRUSH was reported by Kibbe at Two Buttes SWA on October
16.  It was around the shore of the only remaining pond.
--At Two Buttes below the dam on October 16, Percival reported 1 "red"
Fox Sparrow and 1 Red-bellied Woodpecker.

Bent County:
--At Tempel Grove on October 16, Percival reported 1 White-throated Sparrow.

El Paso County:
--A RED-SHOULDERED HAWK was reported by Ceci Lee in Elbert near the
Latigo Trails Equestrian Center.  The hawk was flying near the
intersection of Latigo Blvd and Halleluiah Trail.

Fremont County:
--A f Indigo Bunting was reported by Moss at Holcim Wetlands, east of
Florence on October 12.
--A Nashville Warbler was reported by Hinds below the dam at Brush
Hollow on October 14.

Larimer County:
--On morning of October 13, Wild heard or saw SPRAGUE'S PIPIT,
Carolina Wren, Red-bellied Woodpecker, and SEDGE WREN in SW Loveland.
The birds were along a ditch road which is south of Timber Run.  Wild
refound the SEDGE WREN in late afternoon of October 13.  Feel
free to call Cole at 970-232-5368.
--An ad male VARIED THRUSH was reported by Leatherman in the SE corner
of Grandview Cemetery on October 15.  It was in a Spruce Tree in
Section 9.  Leatherman reported that the VARIED THRUSH was NOT seen on
October 16.

Park County:
--A juv American Golden-Plover was reported by Drummond in the SW
corner of Antero Reservoir on October 14.

Phillips County:
--At Holyoke Cemetery on October 16, Mlodinow reported 1 Tennessee
Warbler and White-throated Sparrow.
--At Frenchman Creek SWA on October 16, Mlodinow reported 1 Field
Sparrow, 1 "red" Fox Sparrow, and 2 White-throated Sparrows.
--A juv YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER was reported by Mlodinow in Haxtun on
October 16.

Prowers County:
--At Willow Creek Park in Lamar on October 16, Percival reported 1 juv
YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER and 1 Red-bellied Woodpecker.
--At Lamar Community College Woods Percival reported 3 White-throated
Sparrows, 6 Northern Cardinals, and 1 Red-bellied Woodpecker on
October 16.

Pueblo County:
--A juv LONG-TAILED JAEGER was reported by Percival at the SWA of
Pueblo Reservoir on October 13.  The LONG-TAILED JAEGER was seen on
October 14 by several birders, looking west from SWA on the NW side of
Pueblo Reservoir.  Percival also reported 2 female type Surf Scoters
at Pueblo Reservoir on October 14.  Moss reported seeing the
LONG-TAILED JAEGER from the boat ramp parking area of the SWA on
October 15.  On October 17, Percival observed the jaeger from the
middle parking area of the SWA that looks west.
--A Lesser Black-backed Gull was spotted by Mitchell at the South
Shore Marina of Pueblo Reservoir on October 13.

Sedgwick County:
--2 Lapland Longspurs were reported by Ritt on the SE side of Jumbo on
October 13.

Teller County:
--A Field Sparrow was reported by Jeff Jones at Manitou Lake on October 12.

Washington County:
--At Prewitt on October 12, Ritt reported an American Golden Plover at
a pond south of dying trees.

Weld County:
--At Crow Valley on October 10, Leatherman reported 1 "western" Field
Sparrow, 2 "tan-stripe" White-throated Sparrows (1 ad, 1 imm), and 1
Lapland Longspur.  On October 12, Leatherman reported 1 ad
"white-striped" White-throated Sparrow and 1-2 imm.

Yuma County:
--Near Hale Ponds along South Fork of Republican River on October 14,
Roller reported "red" Fox Sparrow and Winter Wren.
--2+ SPRAGUE'S PIPITS were reported by Roller on Windmill Hill west of
LL.5 and north of South fork of Republican River on October 14.
--At Beecher Island on October 15, Mlodinow reported 1 Eastern Phoebe,
9 Field Sparrows, and 2 White-throated Sparrows.
--At Republican SWA (Hutton Easement) or Pipit Hill on October 15,
Mlodinow reported 1 SPRAGUE'S PIPIT.
--At Republican SWA (near Hale S side of River) on October 15,
Mlodinow reported 1 juv YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER and 3 White-throated
Sparrows.
--2 Chihuahuan Ravens, and 3 White-throated Sparrows were reported by
Mlodinow at Bonny Reservoir on October 15.
--At Republican SWA (Near Wray and Bonny) Mlodinow reported
Red-bellied Woodpecker on October 15.
--At Bonny at Foster's CG on October 15, Mlodinow reported 3 Northern Cardinals.

The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, October 22 will be to Cherry Creek
State Park led by Buzz Schaumberg.  Meet the leader at the West
entrance of Cherry Creek State park at 0900.  Bring a scope if you
have one, water, comfortable shoes, and appropriate clothing.  This is
a half-day trip and lunch is optional.  State Parks pass required.

The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, October 23 will be to Jackson and
Prewitt Reservoirs led by Norm Erthal (303-917-2569 or
[email protected]).  Meet at 0700 at Division of Wildlife, 6060 No.
Broadway.  Take 58th Ave exit from I-25, go west 1 block to Broadway,
then north 2 blocks to parking lot on the right.  Participants will
need an Annual SWA permit per person and a State Parks Pass.  All day
trip so bring lunch, snacks, water, good walking shoes, and
appropriate clothing.  Please contact the leader if you are interested
in attending and if cancel your attendance.
