Birders,
The Red Phalarope at the south lake of Adobe Creek Reservoir (Bent
County) was still present late this afternoon (10/29). It was at the
precise location where it was first found on 10/28. Turn west from Bent
County Road 10, drive west several miles on Road UU to the dam, and
drive north about 1 1/2 miles to the end of the road on the east side of
the outlet canal. The Red Phalarope associates loosely with the American
Avocets and Greater Yellowlegs at the end of the spit, or on nearby islets.
