Alamosa County:
--A Lesser Black-backed Gull was reported by Rawinski at San Luis Lake
SP at the north end of the lake on October 25.

Arapahoe County:
--A Pacific Loon and NEOTROPIC CORMORANT were reported by Kelly at
Cherry Creek SP on October 22. The loon was viewed from east of
Prairie Loop along the Nature Trail.  The Pacific Loon was seen again
on October 25 by Nick Moore.
--A RED-THROATED LOON was reported by Kilpatrick at Cherry Creek SP on
October 28.  Walbek refound the RED-THROATED LOON at Cherry Creek on October 29.

Bent/Kiowa Counties:
--At Adobe Creek Reservoir (Blue Lake) on October 28, Duane Nelson
reported a Pacific Loon on the Kiowa County side and a RED PHALAROPE
on the Bent County side.  Nelson reported on October 29 that the RED
PHALAROPE continues at Adobe Creek.
Directions:  Turn west from Bent CR 10, drive west several miles on CR
UU to dam and north about 1.5 miles to
end of road on east side of outlet canal.  The phalarope loosely
associates with avocets and Greater Yellowlegs.

Boulder County:
--Nick Moore spotted a tern at Boulder Reservoir on October 18, which
Nunes confirmed is a juv ARCTIC TERN.  On October 26, Halsey reported
the ARCTIC TERN was foraging along the S shore.  The Red-necked Grebe
first reported by Pieplow on October 20 was at the west end of the
reservoir as reported by Halsey.  On October 30, Arnold reported that
the ARCTIC TERN continues to feed around Boulder Reservoir and rest in
the NW cove.
--On October 25, Nunes reported 4 f/imm Black Scoters in the NE part
of Boulder Reservoir and 1 f/imm Surf Scoter in the middle of the
reservoir.  On October 27, Halsey reported 3 f/imm Black Scoters and 2
f/imm Surf Scoters at Boulder Reservoir.
--2 Pacific Loons were reported by Hutchinson at Boulder Reservoir on
October 29.

Douglas/Jefferson Counties:
--At Chatfield State Park on October 30, Walbek reported a Pacific
Loon, Red-necked Grebe and ad MEW GULL.  The gull was on the sandspit
and the loon and grebe were viewed from the end of the sandpit looking
NE.

El Paso County:
--A f/imm Surf Scoter was reported by Nick Moore at Big Johnson on
October 25.  Peterson relocated the Surf Scoter at Big Johnson on
October 27.
--3 Black Scoters were reported by Peterson at Prospect Lake at
Memorial Park on October 27.  Directions:  Take exit 141/Cimarron St
from I-25, go east to where it "T"s with Wasatch.  Turn left/north and
go 1 block to Costilla and turn right/east to Lake and Park.  Best
viewing was on the south side.

Fremont County:
--A hatch year Black-throated Green Warbler was reported by Moss in
Veteran's Park on October 28.

Garfield County:
--A Pacific Loon was reported by Zerbi on Rifle Gap Reservoir on October 27.

Gilpin County:
--1 White-winged Crossbill was reported by Cole Wild on Lump Gulch Road on
October 25.

Huerfano County:
White-throated Sparrows are visiting the feeders at the Nelder Yard in
La Veta on October 26.  Contact [email protected] for more
information.

Jefferson County:
--3 White-winged Scoters were reported by Faulkner in the SE corner of
Standley Lake on October 28.
--A "white-striped" White-throated Sparrow was reported by Henwood at
Bear Creek Lake Park on October 29.

Larimer County:
--2 f/imm Surf Scoters were reported by Wild at Dry Creek Reservoir
on October 25.  The Surf Scoters were seen again on October 28 by Wild.
--1 imm Surf Scoter was reported by Komar at the marina lagoon at Boyd
Lake SP on October 25.
--A Swamp Sparrow was reported by Wild at Bonnel Drive Pond east of CR
21 and S of Lon Hagler Reservoir on October 28.
--A f Northern Parula was reported by Seibel in downtown Estes Park on
October 30.  It was along a creek behind a row of restaurants that
included Subway and Poppy's Pizza.

Park County:
--3 Black Scoters (2f, 1imm m) were reported by Kellner at Eleven Mile
Reservoir on October 30
--At Spinney Mountain Reservoir, Kellner reported 1 imm Surf Scoter
and 1 imm White-winged Scoter on October 30.

Pueblo County:
--At Pueblo City Park on October 27, Percival reported m PINE WARBLER,
Tennessee Warbler and juv YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER.  Percival refound
the Tennessee Warbler on October 28.  On October 29, Percival reported
a juv f YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER at Pueblo City Park.  On October 30,
Percival reported a juv m YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER and m
Black-throated Blue Warbler at Pueblo City Park.
--At Pueblo Reservoir on October 30, Percival reported 1 Pacific Loon
from W Fisherman's Point and juv Thayer's Gull at the S Shore Marina.

Routt County:
--3 TUNDRA SWANS were reported by Ritt on Nofstger Reservoir on
October 26.  The reservoir is about 5 miles S of US 40 and W of CR
27.
--3 TUNDRA SWANS were reported by Luke at the WFMC Ponds S of Craig on
October 27.  Forrest wonders if they are the same 3
that were reported by Ritt yesterday.
--A single TUNDRA SWAN was reported by Litteral at Lake Catamount, S
of Steamboat Springs on October 28.

Summit County:
--1 m Barrow's Goldeneye was reported by Kellner on a large pond S of
the Blue River Wastewater Treatment Plant in Silverthorne on October
30.

Weld County:
--A Pacific Loon was reported by Teuton at Union Reservoir on October
22, it is best viewed from SW corner.   A Pacific Loon was reported by
Mlodinow at Union Reservoir on October 25.  It was on the
north-central part of the reservoir.

The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, November 5 will be Southwest Denver
Lakes led by Lynn Willcockson (303-757-7000).  Meet the leader at 0830
at Belmar Historic Park in Lakewood.  From Wadsworth and Ohio turn
west on Ohio and go 2 blocks straight into Irongate parking.  Will
carpool from there.  Bring water, snacks, scopes.  Will bird unitl
around noon.  Please call the leader if planning to attend.

The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, November 5 will be the Mountain Scoter
Trip led by Joey Kellner (303-978-1748).  Call the leader to register
and arrange a meeting place.  State Parks pass required.  This is an
all day trip so bring lunch, water, scopes and radios if you them
them.  WARNING:  Daylight Savings Times ends so be sure to reset your
clocks before you go to bed.
