Hi Cobirders. I started using my bird feeders Sun.
Monday October 24th Merlin stopped in the Chokecherry tree briefly no birds so it flew to the Russian Olive and I lost it. Probably same one that I saw a week earlier flying into my subdivision. Later two Gray-headed Juncos came. They do not go near the cage feeder. Tuesday October 25th House Finches several discovered the Sunflower Seeds in the Cage Feeder.

Wednesday Oct. 26th 4 t0 5" of snow on everything and more all day. Now lots of birds came I put out seed on the patio edge and in the feeder by the window. I got feed out to cable drum feeder Thursday. House Finches male and female about 12
                                          House Sparrows about 20
                                          Gray-headed Junco same 2
White-crown Sparrow 2 they come mostly when it snows and use the feeder only.

Thursday October 27 7" snow, 20% cloudy, 29o - 48o Same birds as yesterday more of Finches and House Sparrows. Pinyon Jay 2 ( first ever in yard)
                                          Blue Jay 1
Red-winged Blackbird small flock of First and second year birds Black-capped Chickadee likes to get Sunflower seed from in the cage feeder. R.S. Flicker 1st year out in front yard. Eurasian Collared Dove 24 atop the dead branches in the Locust tree in front.

Friday away much of the day
Sat. away until 12:30PM Saw a Black-billed Magpie in front yard Do not come often here. Lots in nearby cemetery.

Sunday Oct.30th Western Scrub Jay (also showed up Tuesday Nov. 1 and stayed longer)

Of course most of Finches ,House Sparrows, Red-wings and doves will show up every day . I do not feed after sometime in May because I want them to go nest elsewhere. A surprise bird shows up occasionally..

Hope you all keep warm out birding.
