I scoped Pueblo Reservoir from my car this morning, the viewing conditions were
good, since it was cloudy, and not too windy.  I counted 14 Common Loons (12
between North Picnic Road and Sailboard launching area and 2 off West Fishing
Road) and a flyby small loon species at the State Wildlife Area on the NW side
of Pueblo Reservoir.  I also saw about 8 Bonaparte's Gulls at the SWA, a
Merlin, and a low flying Sandhill Crane.  The only ducks I saw were Lesser
Scaup.  There were the usual large number of Western/Clark's Grebes, also Eared
and Pied-billed Grebes, a few American Coots, and Ring-billed and California
Gulls.  I didn't go the the south side of the lake.  All of these birds were
seen from the North side of the reservoir.
