I just returned from following up on a leucistic Coot that I had seen at Cottonwood Marsh at Walden Ponds on the E arm of the pond, last Sunday, October 30. It was still there this morning in the same place. It is slightly smaller than the many Coots around it. The body is VERY pale gray, almost the same color as the bill, with a slightly darker head, almost brownish. It's a very cool looking bird. Now, I wouldn't drive a long distance to see a Coot, but.........
