I saw the WORM-EATING WARBLER along the Canon City Riverwalk at 3:35pm today
briefly, though well, and then mostly heard it giving the "seet seet" call
note, when it flew around after that for a few minutes.  It was extremely hard
to see.  When other birders appeared later on, the bird was no where to be
found.  Hopefully it stays the night, and will be around tomorrow for others to
see.  Other birds I saw in the area  where I saw the warbler, were a Gray
Catbird, a Hermit Thrush, Mountain and Black-capped Chickadees, Brown Creepers,
Ruby-crowned Kinglets, and a White-breasted Nuthatch.  The bird was in the
tangle undergrowth on the north side of the trail, not too far east of where
the drive way goes up to the house on the south side of the trail.  Park at the
McKenzie Ave. parking area, and walk west.  Thanks to SeEtta for the timely
post about the warbler, and great find!  I believe this the first Worm-eating
Warbler that has been seen in
Fremont County, though I'm not totally sure about that.

________________________________

I found a Worm-eating Warbler on the Canon City Riverwalk around 11am this
morning.  It was skulking about 200-250 west of the McKenzie Ave parking area.
I got a few poor photos of it as it flitted around the undergrowth making it
very challenging to see let alone get a photo.  More later
