This morning, a Red Necked Grebe was visible directly north of the sand spit, along with 2 common loons, one of which flew off toward the heronry overlook. I did not see Pacific Loon or Mew Gull. It also occurs to me that I've probably seen 10s of thousands of western grebes, and have yet to get a really good look at one; they're always so darn far away!
Red Rocks had not much of anything, including seed. Unfortunately I did not have any with me, so if you go, you might bring some. I might try to get some up there tomorrow in advance of the snow.
