Hi: If you think The Big Year was a good read, take a look the new CFO Journal and read the "60th Report of the Colorado Bird Record Committee" by Larry Semo. The story starts with the discovery of an Emperor Goose tacked on the wall at a taxidermist shop near Barr Lake in 2008. The question before the CBRC was "Does this finding constitute a new bird species for our state list?". To prove or disprove the goose's electability, the CBRC had to use up-to-date CSI type forensics to arrive at their decision. You will have to read for yourself to find out how the vote came down. It may not be what you think!!
