Sorry for incorrect post last night stating the Worm-eating Warbler had not been seen yesterday. I didn't know until mid-morning today when I saw Scott Dieni on the Canon City Riverwalk that he saw the bird about 4:30 pm yesterday. Scott said he saw it not far from the MacKenzie Ave parking lot (east end of Riverwalk) in the thicket between 15-20 feet west of the driveway to the house that is few hundred feet down and south of the trail.
He and Stephanie Jones, who was at the wrong place when Scott saw the warbler, had been looking for it this morning for about an hour when I got there. They stayed for almost 2 more hours looking without success. I continued looking until 12:30 and did not see it. When I left Bill Kosar, who had arrived around noon, was birding in the area. The Harlan's Hawk that has been in the area for the past week or two was seen by all of the above this morning.
