We had an influx of unusual species this afternoon at Lake Estes. Judy
Wright first spotted four Trumpeter Swans. But as we searched through many
others birds present we saw six Bonaparte's Gulls as well as Herring and
Ring-billed Gulls and at least one male and one female Barrow's Goldeneyes.
Others that we haven't seen for quite a while were a Hooded and a Common
Merganser.
