I had actually looked to the sky for circling birds; the way the huge
flocks of Rosy-Finches come in to feed.  It is snowing
here...thankfully I washed windows yesterday and had already put out
all the feeders; full.

And then, there they were; hundreds of Rosy-Finches in my yard...first
time this season!  I've never had them come in November, but with the
earlier snows I had rather expected to see them.  No, never till
December; and here they are: December 1st...all three species as well
as some Harlens, too.  Always the case here.  I'm so ticked...

Last months yard-bird totals included:
Downy Woodpecker, Song Sparrow, Harris's Sparrow, * Ferruginous
Hawk-2, Hermit Thrush, White-throated Sparrow, Cassin's Finch, Western
Scrub Jay, Lesser Goldfinch, White-crowned Sparrow, Great Horned Owl,
Mourning Dove, Dark-eyed Junco (Slate-colored, Oregon, Pink-sided,
Gray-headed & Cassiar), Mountain Chickadee, Hairy Woodpecker, * Canada
Geese, * Ducks (species), Common Raven, Blue Jay, American Crow,
American Robin, Black-capped Chickadee, White-breasted Nuthatch,
American Goldfinch, Evening Grosbeak, Pine Siskin, Northern Flicker:
Red-shafted, Black-billed Magpie, Common Grackle, Red-winged
Blackbird, Brown-headed Cowbird, House Finch, European Starling, House
Sparrow, Eurasian Collared-Dove
