Arapahoe County:
--A VARIED THRUSH was reported by Schaumberg at his home and adjacent
greenbelt in SE Aurora in the Mission Viejo neighborhood on November
21.  The bird was last reported on November 28 by Mlodinow.  The exact
address is 3904 S. Idalia St.  Please respect private property.

Boulder County:
--Lapland Longspurs were reported by Kaemfper feeding in bare winter
wheat furrows along Lookout Road between 1/4 and 1/2 mile east of 95th
St with a large flock of Horned Larks on December 3.
--At McIntosh Lake in Longmont on December 3, Komar reported 2
Thayer's Gulls (1 ad, 1 3-rd cyc) and an imm Long-tailed Duck.

Delta County:
--2 TUNDRA SWANS were reported by Garrison at Confluence Park in Delta
on December 3.

Denver County:
--A female type Long-Tailed Duck was reported by Wuerthele at Duck
Lake in City Park on November 22.
-A White-throated Sparrow was reported by Evans visiting her backyard
in Denver for
3 weeks on November 30.  Birders are welcome to try to see the bird.
The address is
1480 S. Jasmine Way.  Walk through the breezeway to the patio.  Please
stay on the
patio and look under trees in back.  It has been associating with Juncos.

Douglas/Jefferson Counties:
--At Chatfield State Park:
--A POMARINE JAEGER (Juv. intermediate morph) was reported by Kellner
on November 19 and was refound on December 3 by O'Brien. The bird
has mostly been seen from the Handicapped Fisherman’s access point
just NW of the marina. It has also been seen from the Heron Overlook.
--A Glaucous Gull was reported by Kellner on November 19, 2 1st-cyc
Glaucous Gull were reported by Kellner on November 26.  On November
28, Mlodinow reported 1ad Glaucous Gull and 1 1-st cycl Glaucous Gull
and 1 juv Thayer's Gull.  A 2nd-cyc Glaucous Gull was reported by
Komar on November 30.
--2 Rusty Blackbirds (1M; 1F) were reported by Schmoker at the Plum
Creek Delta (Douglas County side) on Nov. 22. They were refound by
Brown on Nov. 29. They have been seen where Plum Creek enters the
reservoir. They were working among the scattered brush piles and have
been quite difficult to see.
--2 "pale-bellied" BRANT were reported by Komar at Chatfield in the SW
corner on November 30.  The "pale-bellied" or Atlantic  BRANT were
refound by Roller S of the Heron Overlook on December 2 around noon.
Brown reported that the Brant were on Camping Loop D on the north side
of the entry road between the loop and main road at 3:15 pm on
December 2.  On December 3, Tooten reported that the BRANT were off
shore from the NEW Heron Overlook at Chatfield.
--2 male winter Lapland Longspurs were reported by Bob Spencer at
Chatfield SP by the model airplane field on December 3.

Eagle County:
--A TRUMPTER SWAN and Barrow's Goldeneyes were reported by Christopher
Taylor at Spring Park Reservoir north of El Jebel on November 26.  The
swan was seen again on November 30 by Trappett.

Garfield County:
--A Pacific Loon was reported by Art Dahl at Rifle Gap Reservoir on
October 27 and seen again by Trappett on November 30.

Huerfano County:
--All three species of Rosy-Finches have returned to the yard of
Beverly Jensen in La Veta on December 1.  Contact her at
[email protected] for more information.

Jefferson County:
--Henwood reported that the GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW continues at Red
Rocks Trading Post at least through December 3.

Kit Carson County:
--An AMERICAN WOODCOCK was reported by Murphy near 840 N 13th St,
Burlington on November 28.  It feeds on the lawns in the neighborhood.
Murphy reported on December 1 that the WOODCOCK remains in the area.
It likes to feed on the lawn at 847 N 13 St.    Burlington had not had
any significant snow.   On December 2, Murphy reported that the WOODCOCK
has NOT been seen despite much searching.

Larimer County:
--A TRUMPETER SWAN (juv) was reported by Bol and Leatherman at Dixon
Reservoir on November 19.  It has moved and last reported on November
29 by Komar two miles north to College Lake.  Unfortunately, there is
restricted access to this lake.
--A White-winged Dove was reported by Shenot at 210 Peterson Street in
Fort Collins on November 26 to 28.  He is willing to allow birders to
try to see it but his house sits behind another on a deep lot and one
would have to walk the sidewalk between 208 and 214 Peterson and may
scare feeder birds.  Please respect private property.
--A Common Repoll was reported by Nelson on November 27 in Estes Park.
 It was on Lower Broadview about 30 ft below Mary's Lake Road.
--An ad basic RED-THROATED LOON was reported by Leatherman at Rawhide Power
Plant on December 2 and 3.

Logan County:
--A Varied Thrush was reported by Kellner at Duck Creek SWA on November 28
--3 Common Redpoll were reported by Kellner along road going east of
the the hunter checkstation south of Crook at Tamarack Ranch on
November 28.

Pueblo County:
--On December 2 at Valco Ponds, Percival reported 2 Swamp Sparrows and
10 Rusty Blackbirds.  Later on December 2, Duane Nelson reported 14
Rusty Blackbirds along the Arkansas River.

Sedgwick County:
--At Jumbo Reservoir on November 28, Kellner reported 1 1st-cycle
Lesser Black-backed Gull and 1 ad Glaucous Gull.
--A COMMON GROUND-DOVE was reported by Mlodinow and Smart near
Julesburg on November 12 and has been seen as recently as November 30
by Boswell.  Directions:  Take I-76 to US 385.  Go N towards
Julesburg.  There are two bridges over the river.  Between these,
there is a road to the east and the the west.  The road to the west
leads to an area closed due to deer hunting.  The road to the east
leads to an island of land between the two parts of the river.  it is
mostly sandy soil with a few trees, much sparse grass, and a few dense
bushes.  There are several ponds and other areas where birds can
drink.

Weld County:
--A juv LITTLE GULL was reported by Mlodinow at Union Reservoir on
December 1 and later Wild reported an ad LITTLE GULL at Union.   On
December 3, Zmolek relocated LITTLE GULLS at Union and around noon
Schmoker found the juv LITTLE GULL in the SW corner around noon, but
later in the afternoon neither LITTLE GULL was found.

The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, December 4 will be to Barr Lake SP -
North Side led by Chuck Hundertmark (303-604-0521).  Meet the leader
at 0830 in parking lot at the south end of Lark Bunting Lane.  (Note:
This is not the usual Barr Lake SP meeting Place.)  From Bromley
Lane/E 152nd Ave, exit of I-76, drive east on E 152nd Ave, across the
railroad tracks and take an immediate right onto Lark Bunting Lane.
State Parks pass or admission fee required.  Will bird the area around
RMBO's headquarters and the fields and ditches below the Barr Lake
dam.  Bring water, snacks, and binoculars.  Scopes optional.  Half day
trip.
