At about 1:30 yesterday afternoon the Little Gull juvenile flew across Union Reservoir 200 yards from the south shoreline. Two other birders and myself watched it fly northeast. The dark M on wings, dark cap, and small black tail band were easy to see as the view was great from the south. TA striking feature was the relatively short tail. I stayed until 4:00 looking for the adult and never saw either again. Lots of Bonaparte's to look through to find them. Sorry for the late post.
