I went to Rawhide Power Plant this morning to try and see the Red- throated Loon. Initially I did not find the bird while scanning the groups of western-type grebes. Another gentleman (I did not get his name) drove up and within 5 minutes he found the loon swimming apart from the grebes, to the right of the smoke stack and about 3/4 the way across the lake. I watched the loon for another 10 minutes or so after getting on it.
