There were several intrepid biders searching for the duck this morning to no avail. I will add further to Rachel's warning from yesterday. New No Trespassing signs were put up yesterday. The owner's son stopped by twice, once apparently writing down license plate numbers for who knows why. Maybe intimidation. He later parked on the dike, intentionally picking a spot that blocked part of the limited area we could scan. He then walked down questioning if we had made the tracks in the snow. We told him that we had not. I would strongly warn you not to leave the county road. The pond on the south side of 119 west of I 25 was also checked. I drove to Golden Ponds and checked other spots trying to find open water that it might move to. Golden Ponds has a small patch of open water remaining.
