Bill Wuerthele reports that the Long-tailed Duck is still on Duck Lake in City
Park (at least it was still there yesterday afternoon). Surprisingly, a
portion of Duck Lake has not frozen despite all of the cold weather we've had
recently. The bird is in the open water in the company of a bunch of Canada
Geese and some other diving ducks (Common Goldeneyes, Redheads, Ring-necked
Ducks, etc.).
