Today, Mike Freiberg and I spent a day collecting negative data. Union Res is, pretty much, Union Skating Rink... etc. Frederick Rec Area still has some open water, maintained by a large number of roosting Cacklers. LUNA Reservoir had good numbers of birds, but nothing more interesting than a Snow Goose and a Greater Scaup. However.... New information has been obtained. Though I doubt there is a birder in the state ready to dispense of LUNA Reservoir as a name, it is a misnomer. The reservoir, named for its lack of name (LargeUNAmed Reservoir) is actually named Bull Reservoir and is part of Northglenn Wastewater Treatment Plant. Knowledge gained.
