Greetings All

I thought I'd posted to COBIRDS about this, and if I have, I apologize for the
duplication. It may have been Frontiers of ID.
In any case, Great Black-backed x Herring Gull numbers are increasing, mostly
in the Midwest as GBB Gull expands its range into the Great Lakes. What I don't
like about the Pueblo bird, vis a vis, Slaty-backed Gull is the huge bill and
the apparent medium dark (not blackish) mantle. Also, most SB Gulls show some
smudging around the eye. So, I guess no one mark from the photos could rule out
SB Gull, but it reminds me much of the GBB x Herring Gull hybrid pics I've
seen, and the few responses on Frontiers seemed to suggest GBB x Herring Gull
as most likely.
