I am forwarding this on behalf of Marilyn Binkley up at Grand Lake

During today's Christmas bird count in the Granby area, my little group found a flock of about 35 Common Redpolls on Grand Country Rd 55 about 3.5-4 miles west of US 40 (south of Granby). They were foraging in the alders that were in the gully…. they seemed to ignore the willows in the same area, favoring the alders. What a thrill to see them!! Thank goodness for a scope to really see the field
marks….especially the red cap!
