I walked along the Poudre Trail just north of Greeley and between 25th Avenue and about 3/4 mile west of 35th Avenue. I saw: Mute swans, pintails, wigeons, Redheads, lessor scaup, coots, bufflehead, common goldeneye, lots of cackling geese, some Canada geese, 8 snow geese, a spectacular bald eagle, and a couple of kingfishers. I did not even attempt to ID the gulls. Most birds were at the second pond west of 35th Avenue that had lots of open water. Not bad for an hour and a half of my afternoon. Rick Reeser Greeley
