I was able to find one SNOW as so meticulously described in Joe Roller's post of Jan 3 this morning at about 8:00 AM in winter wheat field north of 138th Street. But the bird he found there was the white adult and the bird I saw there was the chubby (imm female?) fallen-in-coal bird. I could not locate the "white" bird in about an hour's searching.
