I was surprised to see an out-of-season Common Nighthawk around 9 am this morning at the South Boulder Creek Trailhead. He flew and landed in a small grove of trees adjacent to the pond across from the South Boulder Creek Trailhead parking lot on the corner of Highway 93 and Thomas Lane (dirt road a little over 2 miles south of Table Mesa.)
