Bob Shade went back to the roadrunner site on Dinosaur Ridge to
retrieve a water bottle
and saw the bird again, this time foraging in plain sight for 15
minutes. He got great
photos, and we are now trying to get them onto someone's photo site.
You can see the roadrunners Toenails.
Wish I had lost my water bottle.
I will be going up there daily, especially on Saturday, meeting at
11:30 AM, Stegosaurus parking lot, despite the predicted cool and
snowy weather. It would be fun to go as a group. Parking slots are few
in number
on Alameda, so please let me know if you are going tomorrow, so we can
run a shuttle again if we need too.
