Yesterday at dusk commuting home past Wellington SWA on LCR 64 (aka Nunn Road aka WCR 100) at the "border crossing" a Short-eared Owl flew up and around from a roadside fencepost. It circled and landed nearby (somewhere). Been two years since I've seen one along "WCR 100" commutes.
