We saw an adult Bald Eagle today in Adams County on the DIA Owl Loop, about 3 miles east of the 96th and Tower intersection...close to where the burrowing owls were seen last summer, but on the other side of the road. The eagle was in a tree in the field on the east side. An immature Bald Eagle (same size, similar coloring, no feathers on legs) approached the tree and took it's place as the adult Bald Eagle took off and flew west over the road and deep into the field on that side.
Couldn't get a good look at the front/facial markings on the second bird, it was facing away from the road and refused to look our way. - Barry Gingrich Broomfield County -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
