Hello, Birders. Andrew and I explored the west side of Cottonwood Marsh, Boulder County, at around 5:30 p.m. this evening, Sunday, Feb. 4th. The night was crystal clear and cold with deep snow cover about. A lovely dusk chorus on this early spring (well...) evening: tinkling American Tree Sparrows, a grunting Virginia Rail, wailing Redheads, electric-buzzer Common Goldeneyes, and Red-winged Blackbirds making every noise imaginable. An adult Golden Eagle was almost unnerving as it made a close pass in front of us, just below the brilliant rising moon. Ted Floyd [email protected] Lafayette, Boulder County, Colorado
