Dear Birders,

I poked around a few ponds in Boulder this afternoon. At Cottonwood Marsh,
there was 1 adult TUNDRA SWAN, 2 HORNED GREBES (transitioning into breeding
plumage and therefore looking very Eared Grebe-esque plumage-wise), and a pair
of NORTHERN PINTAIL.

Over at Teller Farms, the GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW was taking a bath in a puddle
next to the hedgerow by the N. Teller Lake parking lot. It was splish-splashing
with an adult GAMBEL'S WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW. There were at least 15 BREWER'S
BLACKBIRDS with the RED-WINGED BLACKBIRDS and EUROPEAN STARLINGS in the feed
lot. There were 5 WESTERN MEADOWLARKS near the parking lot, too, one of which
was singing a very beautiful sub-song. Between North and South Teller Lakes I
saw 3 adult HARLAN'S HAWKS and 1 WILSON'S SNIPE.

Great birding,

Christian Nunes
