Hi, all. I just got off the phone with 2012 CFO convention registrar Maggie Boswell, who tells me that early online registrations have been exceedingly brisk. We're now in the three digits for folks signed up for the May 2012 convention! Okay, the (very) low three digits, but still. I'm very impressed.
What this means is that FIELD TRIPS ARE FILLING UP VERY FAST. The Bar N I trip is FULL. The owling trip is FULL. Both Mesa de Maya trips are FULL. The Beatty Canyon half-day trip is FULL. One of the Vermejo Park Ranch trips is FULL. Mind you, there are still PLENTY of OUTSTANDING field trips STILL AVAILABLE. But they are FILLING UP FAST. If you want to get on some great field trips, REGISTER NOW. Key point of advice: REGISTER ONLINE. You will get into the system faster, you will get the trips of your choice, and you will enjoy a $10 discount for registering online. If you don't want to pay online, THAT IS COMPLETELY FINE. Just REGISTER online, and then mail your check to the registrar, Maggie Boswell. Finally, could I persuade you to perform a certain "public service"? If you do know a "yellow pad warrior" holdout who simply refuses to register online, could you let that person know that the field trips are filling up very fast--and even mention which ones (see above)--so as to induce those persons to register by mail as soon as possible, and to avoid registering for the trips (e.g., Bar N I, owling, Mesa de Maya) that are already full? Thanks! Oh, and if you missed the earlier announcements, you can get info on the 2011 CFO birding convention here: http://cfobirds.org/convention/2012/index.htm See you in Trinidad!
