Finally, I put a few rosy-finch photos on my website from Red Rocks P visit
on 21 Feb 2012. Altho I was photographing, not counting, this flock that
comes to Red Rocks this winter seems to have more black (I counted 6 at
least), lots of gray-crowned, and more Hepburn's (several) than I used to
see up at Fawn Brook Inn. Also, I only saw one Brown-capped Rosy-Finch in
this group. It was interesting to watch them through the scope feed under
the ice shelves and apparently drink water from the dripping edges while
huddling in the nooks and crannies of the rock wall. I didn't see any
picking insects off the snow as I have at Summit L on Mt Evans while doing
BBA work in July.

Then at 138th Ave and Harvest Rd, we observed and I took another distant
lousy heat-shimmering shot of the juv Snowy Owl on the same pipeline ridge
as the juv that I photographed there on 8 Jan 2012.
