Happy Leap Day everyone, There were two Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers in Pueblo City Park today, a male and a female. The male was seen by several birders, and the female was only seen by me, as far as I know. The female was near the lake on the south side of it, and the male was further east, near the ravine in northeastern part of the park. The male Mexican Duck continues to be seen on the lake in the middle of Pueblo City Park. The female Mandarin Duck was also present today as well. I stopped by Pueblo Reservoir earlier in the day, near the South Shore Marina and was surprised to see a flock of white geese coming in, bothSnow and Ross's Geese were present, as well as Blue Geese. There were probably 250 birds. It is kind of rare to see a flock of white geese at Pueblo Reservoir.
