I toured through southern Weld County today and found the following: Union Reservoir has very few birds on it, but the Red-necked Grebe reported a while back by Peter Plage persists. In fact there are so few birds there that the grebe really stands out.
Montfort Marsh (aka Rd. 59 Marsh) had about 250 Cackling Geese with two Greater White-fronted Mixed in. Negative results included no pelicans, no cormorants, no Cinnamon Teal, no shorebirds other than Killdeer and no Franklin's Gull.
